A holiday classic, the Christmas Carol will return with Infusion’s unique retelling in circus, mime, and dance, this time to the Mumford Theatre!
Local Cambridge circus artists collaborate with Infusion Physical Theatre in a unique showcase of juggling, aerial, and contortion prowess, woven into the Dickensian narrative on a soundscape of silence, carols and rock ‘n roll. It’s the timeless search for good-will in a holiday spectacle to remember.

Ekida Laurie graduated from Kyung Hee University dance program in Korea, and went to the Netherlands to dance with the NDT 1 Company. She has also performed and presented her choreographic work on various other stages across the world, including Korea, Japan, Belgium, England, Canada and the USA. She has taught modern dance at the Canadian School of Ballet, and delivered Company classes for the ZUZI Dance Company in Arizona. Then, when she moved to Lincoln, she was appointed guest artist at University of Nebraska where she stayed for three years and had a chance to work with Jennifer Nugent, Jenna Riegel from Bill T. Jones/Arnie Zane Dance Company (NYC), Kendra Portier from David Dorfman Dance Company (NYC), and Kayvan Pourazar from independent horeographer (NYC). She also used to perform as a member of Slo Dance in Lincoln directed by Susan Levin Ourada. In 2015 Ekida started her own company based in Cambridge, U.K. called Collective Arts Movement cic. The company collaborates with many local artists and scientists.
Trained at Bush Davies School and Andrew Hardie’s Dance College, London. Professional dancer in The Love Machine and Arlene Phillip’s Hot Gossip, Kenny Everett TV show. Dancer in Can’t Stop the Music with The Village People MGM studios L.A. Monty Python’s The Meaning of Life Assistant choreographer to Arlene Phillips Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Starlight Express. Dance tutor at King’s College school Cambridge. Currently exploring dance on film. AISTD Modern dance teacher qualification BA Dance Studies Degree Middlesex university 2012.

Neck deep in rehearsals, the Infusion team is preparing for Project Dance Paris, July 23rd!
Infusion Physical Theatre will be joining artists from around the globe to dance for hope, healing, and inspiration in the Place de la Republique. This free-to-the-public charity dance festival will run all day, alongside the demonstrations of solidarity in the famous square.

Place de la Republique The Project Dance Foundation was founded by Radio City Rockette Cheryl Cutlip to bring dance to the people on the streets of NYC after the tragic evens of September 11th, 2001. Professionals, students and young people offered their art free of charge for an all-day, outdoor dance performance in the legendary Times Square. Since that year, Project Dance has expanded to have events in major cities around the world, including London, Hong Kong, Sydney, Manila, LA, Houston, Atlanta and many others.

£5 (£4 students)Sprung! is a self selecting forum for dancers and choreographers of all levels, giving them a rare and wonderful performance opportunity taking pride in celebrating the rich diversity and creativity of dance at Queens’, bringing together students, professionals, guest artists, choreographers, composers and musicians to work in exciting, eclectic and unexpected ways.
Daniel and Melanie Cossette will perform in two works, one a duet exploring Chance (in collaboration with Hilary Goodall), the other a solo looking at Parkinson’s disease. This year will feature over ten dance pieces choreographed by society members, guests and Queen’s College Dance Artist in Residence, Adèle Thompson. The show encompasses a variety of styles, including contemporary, Stomp and breakdance.

Come experience the breadth and depth of the issue, and explore the hope and impact we can have as individuals through the vitalizing medium of dance.
